Just as it’s important to ensure your metadata and link building is in line with your overall keyword strategy, so too do you need to ensure it’s weaved in the very fabric of your website’s content - ie. the structure and navigation of your website, and in the content of each and every page.
Structure
Search engines pay special attention to the navigation bar of your site - as this typically outlines the primary sections or topics of your website.
It is important for the structure of your website to be straightforward and user friendly - so both Users and search engines can find their way around easily. It is therefore important that each of these primary sections are labelled in line with your keyword strategy - therefore rather than our SEO Packages page being labelled - ‘Our Services’, we label it ‘Our SEO Packages’.
Simplifying the structure of your site, and optimising the labelling of it, will improve your search engine rankings for relevant searches.
Content
Going deeper into the site now, we move into the actual content of each section of your website.
To put it simply, Content is King for Google – up-to-date, relevant, unique content. Google ‘reads’ your site to assess whether it thinks you’re relevant or not to a customer’s search query, and if there’s not much content to ‘read’, or that content is out of date, you’ll never get found.
This is where your keyword strategy is once again crucial - you need to ensure each page’s copy is properly optimised for its keyword targets.
As part of the Launch package we’ll comprehensively advise on the reconfiguration of all the copy on your website – implementing optimised keyword targeting, placement, frequency and semantic layout.
We’ll also provide guidance on future content creation - advising you how to create optimised content, what keywords to use and where to put them, popular subjects to write about and how to write for the web.
